Journeyman's Trail is a personal collection of songs I've picked up along my musical path over the years. It features interpretations of timeless songs that have been a part of my journey, along with a few originals that felt like they belonged. The album kicks off with an original that is straight from my being, entitled “Hot Springs”. This solo acoustic blues track is more than a song to me. It’s about a place that holds a chapter of my life; where both my parents and grandparents were born and raised, my goto place for peace and healing, and my final resting spot once life on earth is done. It’s the blues heart of the entire album, and I hope you can feel that deep connection. Another highlight for me is a re-imagination of two songs from Bob Dylan's immense catalog, weaving back and forth between two of his classics in a nine-minute journey and tribute to one of our generation's master songwriters. Finally, there's a live duet performance at Sam's Burger Joint with my good friend Ginger Pickett of an Etta James classic. Thanks for joining me on the Journeyman's Trail.
